Description
Artistic expression is a very personal thing. There is a lot you can create from just a scribble. Inspired by the International holiday: International Scribble Day March 27th – these activities are designed to bring out the creative side in all of us.
You can use this resource anytime. It makes a great spur-of-the-moment art activity.
Fun both printable and digitally feel free to begin by using children’s literature such as I’m NOT Just a Scribble by Diane Adler to your audience. For your convenience, I have also included a link to the book as a video book read aloud on YouTube. The video will play in it’s own window (full screen) without any “suggested” videos at the end. The link is in the PDF as well as in the drag and drop activity.
Here is what your get:
The scribbles are located in various positions on the page. Learners incorporate the scribble into an imaginative drawing. The last page in this series is “blank” and asks learners to draw a scribble of their own then trade with a friend.
The set of 24 scribbles are then grouped onto 4 pages in sets of 6. These produce smaller pictures, and require less printing if you want learners to use all the scribbles. This option also has a set of blanks for creative scribbles and trading with a friend.
Various colored scribble monsters with facial features to cut and paste onto the prepared worksheet. Your learners can then write about how they are more than a scribble.
The PDF contains a link to the Google Slide drag and drop scribble creation activity. This also provides your learners an area for typing in how they are indeed more than a scribble.
Be sure to check out the PREVIEW to get the full picture of everything included.
I hope you enjoy using this product in your educational journey!
