Returns, Refunds, and Membership Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: July 19, 2026
Thank you for choosing Happy Hive Homeschooling.
We put a great deal of heart into creating digital resources, learning experiences, and homeschool support that families can use with confidence. We want you to understand what you are purchasing, how recurring memberships work, and what to do if you experience a problem.
This policy applies to digital products, memberships, subscriptions, and other purchases made directly from Happy Hive Homeschooling.
Digital Downloads and One-Time Digital Purchases
Because our digital products are delivered electronically and may be accessed or downloaded immediately after purchase, all sales of digital products are generally final.
Once a digital product has been purchased, it cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded simply because:
- You changed your mind.
- You decided not to use the resource.
- You purchased a resource that does not fit your current homeschool plans.
- You did not download or complete the product.
- You later found a different product you prefer.
- You purchased a product without reviewing its description or recommended age range.
Please review the product description carefully before completing your purchase.
Download, Access, or File Problems
We always want you to be able to use the resources you purchased.
Please contact us if:
- You did not receive your purchase or access information.
- A download link is not working.
- A file appears to be damaged, incomplete, or incorrect.
- You accidentally purchased the same product more than once.
- You believe you were charged incorrectly.
- A technical problem is preventing you from accessing your purchase.
We will make every reasonable effort to correct the problem, replace the file, restore access, or provide an appropriate solution.
A refund may be considered when we confirm a duplicate charge, billing error, or technical problem that we are unable to resolve. Any refund provided outside these circumstances is offered at the sole discretion of Happy Hive Homeschooling unless otherwise required by law.
Memberships and Recurring Subscriptions
Happy Hive Homeschooling may offer monthly and annual memberships, including resource-library memberships, coaching memberships, paid newsletters, communities, and other ongoing programs.
When you purchase a recurring membership, you authorize Happy Hive Homeschooling and its payment processor to charge your selected payment method according to the price and billing frequency shown at checkout.
Depending on the option you select, your membership may be billed monthly or annually.
Your membership will renew automatically until you cancel it.
Automatic Renewal
Your membership will renew at the end of each billing period using the payment method associated with your account.
You will be charged the price disclosed when you enrolled unless you have been notified in advance of a future price change.
The automatic-renewal terms, billing frequency, membership price, and cancellation information will be presented during the purchase process. Your purchase confirms your agreement to those terms.
Annual Membership Renewal Reminders
If you select an annual membership, Happy Hive Homeschooling will send an advance renewal reminder to the email address associated with your account.
The reminder may include:
- The name of the membership.
- The upcoming renewal date.
- The amount or current price of the renewal.
- A reminder that the membership renews automatically.
- Instructions or a direct method for canceling the membership.
You are responsible for keeping your email address and account information current so that you receive important billing and membership notices.
Canceling a Membership
You may cancel a recurring membership at any time.
You may cancel using the online cancellation option available through your account, checkout platform, or membership portal. You may also contact us if you need help locating or completing the cancellation process.
Canceling your membership stops future renewal charges. It does not reverse or refund a payment that has already been processed.
After canceling, you will generally continue to have access to the membership through the end of your current paid billing period. Your access will then end automatically.
For example, if your monthly membership renews on the tenth of each month and you cancel on the fifteenth, you will retain access until the following tenth. You will not be charged again after the cancellation has been completed.
Please retain any cancellation confirmation you receive for your records.
Membership Refunds
Because membership resources, support, community access, recordings, workshops, coaching opportunities, or other benefits may become available immediately after payment, monthly and annual membership payments are generally nonrefundable once they have been processed.
We do not ordinarily provide full or partial refunds for:
- Unused membership time.
- Resources that were not downloaded or completed.
- Missed coaching calls, workshops, classes, office hours, or events.
- Failure to participate in the membership.
- Failure to read membership emails or announcements.
- Cancellation after a renewal payment has already been processed.
- Forgetting to cancel before a scheduled renewal.
- Changes in your personal schedule, homeschool plans, or circumstances.
We also do not prorate membership payments based on the number of days remaining in a monthly or annual billing period.
Nothing in this policy limits any refund, cancellation, or consumer rights that may be provided under applicable law.
Billing Errors and Charges After Cancellation
Please contact us promptly if you believe:
- You were charged more than once.
- You were charged an incorrect amount.
- You were charged after properly completing the cancellation process.
- Your payment information was used without authorization.
- A technical error affected your membership payment.
We will review the transaction and correct any verified billing error.
Access After Cancellation
When your paid membership period ends, you will lose access to the membership and its ongoing benefits.
Depending on the membership, this may include access to:
- Membership resource libraries.
- Private newsletters or email content.
- Coaching or mentoring support.
- Office hours or question-and-answer sessions.
- Live classes or workshops.
- Workshop and class recordings.
- Private communities or discussion spaces.
- Member-only bonuses.
- Member pricing or discounts.
- Member portals, folders, or archives.
Resources that you properly downloaded while your membership was active may continue to be used by your immediate household according to the license and Terms of Use provided with the resources.
Downloaded materials may not be shared, transferred, resold, copied for other families, posted online, uploaded to shared drives, or distributed publicly.
Canceling a membership does not create a right to continued access to online libraries, portals, recordings, communities, or materials that were not downloaded before the membership ended.
Failed or Declined Membership Payments
If a recurring payment is declined, expired, returned, or otherwise unsuccessful, we or our payment processor may attempt to process the payment again.
Membership access may be temporarily suspended while a payment remains unsuccessful.
If payment cannot be completed, the membership may be canceled and access to membership benefits may end. You may be invited to update your payment information or enroll again.
Free Trials, Introductory Pricing, and Promotional Offers
Some memberships may occasionally be offered with a free trial, introductory price, coupon, bonus, or limited-time promotion.
The terms of the offer, including when regular billing begins, will be explained before purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, promotional pricing applies only for the period described in the offer. After that period, the membership will renew at the regular price disclosed during enrollment.
Canceling during a free or introductory period prevents future charges, provided the cancellation is completed before the first scheduled paid renewal.
Promotional offers and coupons generally cannot be applied retroactively to previous purchases.
Lifetime Access Purchases
Happy Hive Homeschooling may occasionally offer a one-time purchase that includes “lifetime access” to a particular digital product or resource library.
Unless otherwise stated in the specific offer, lifetime access means access for as long as Happy Hive Homeschooling continues to operate and make that product, library, or a reasonable replacement available.
Lifetime access:
- Does not refer to the lifetime of the purchaser.
- Does not guarantee that a particular website, platform, portal, or delivery method will remain available permanently.
- Does not guarantee that new content, live support, coaching, classes, or updates will be added indefinitely.
- Does not include future products or programs unless they are specifically included in the original offer.
Happy Hive Homeschooling may move lifetime-access content to a different platform or delivery method. When reasonably possible, purchasers will be provided with updated access instructions.
Membership Features and Delivery Methods
Happy Hive Homeschooling may make reasonable updates to membership content, features, schedules, platforms, or delivery methods as the membership grows and evolves.
For example, resources may be moved to a different platform, live event schedules may change, or one form of support may be replaced with another comparable form of support.
If a change materially affects your recurring price, automatic-renewal terms, or access to the core membership you purchased, we will provide appropriate advance notice and explain how you may cancel before the change takes effect.
Price Changes
Membership prices may occasionally change.
Price changes will not be applied to a recurring membership without appropriate advance notice. The notice will explain the new price and when it will take effect.
You may cancel your membership before the new price takes effect if you do not wish to continue at the updated price.
Special grandfathered pricing, founding-member pricing, or promotional pricing may be governed by the terms stated when the offer was made.
Discontinued Memberships or Products
Happy Hive Homeschooling reserves the right to discontinue a product, membership, or program.
If we discontinue a membership before the end of a period for which you have already paid and cannot provide continued access, comparable replacement access, or the promised benefits through the end of that period, we will provide an appropriate solution. Depending on the circumstances, this may include substitute access, account credit, or a prorated refund.
This does not apply when access is terminated because of a violation of our Terms of Use, misuse of materials, unauthorized sharing, nonpayment, abusive behavior, or other breach of the membership agreement.
Membership Termination by Happy Hive Homeschooling
Happy Hive Homeschooling may suspend or terminate access when a customer:
- Shares login information or member-only content without permission.
- Copies, resells, distributes, or publicly posts protected materials.
- Uses resources outside the license provided.
- Engages in abusive, threatening, harassing, or disruptive behavior.
- Fails to make required payments.
- Violates our Terms of Use or community guidelines.
When access is terminated because of a violation of these terms, a refund will not ordinarily be provided.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
We encourage you to contact us before opening a chargeback or payment dispute.
Many concerns involving missing emails, forgotten renewals, duplicate purchases, or access problems can be resolved quickly by contacting us directly.
Submitting a chargeback does not automatically cancel an active membership. You should also complete the membership cancellation process to prevent future renewal charges.
