The Origins of Star Wars Day
The phrase “May the Fourth Be With You” is a pun on the iconic Star Wars line, “May the Force be with you.”
Star Wars Day, was started by fans out of love for all things Star Wars. The day is celebrated in community gatherings, social media events, and even partnerships with stores that hold special sales. As the day grew Lucasfilm and the official Star Wars social media channels helped spread the news about events.
Ways Kids Can Celebrate:
- Movie Marathon: Kick off Star Wars Day with a movie marathon featuring the entire Skywalker saga. From the original trilogy to the latest installments in the series, kids can immerse themselves in the epic adventures of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, and Rey as they battle against the forces of the dark side.
