- Leave yourself plenty of time – DIY projects tend to take longer than you think. Shortcuts never save time.
- Your project will cost you more than you will think.
- Wood is not the size advertised on the sticker stapled to the end. For instance, a 2 x 4 measures 1.5” x 3.5” – I was mind blown by this fact.
- DIY for kids has shifted to the “make” movement
