Celebrate Garden Meditation Day each year on May 3rd. It is a day to connect with nature and find peace through gardening and meditation. Take a moment to slow down and breathe in the beauty and tranquility of your garden. You’ll find the stress of daily life fades away. Whether you have a small balcony or a large backyard, there are endless ways to enjoy the benefits of gardening and meditation.
Meditation is a practice that can be introduced even to very young children.
You can teach A 3 or 4-year-old the practice of breath work that allows them to feel changes (calmness) in their bodies.
Often overlooked, teaching our children how to care for their minds properly is important.
In simple terms, Meditation is focusing on one thing at a time, a mantra, breath, or stacking blocks! You do not have to sit still to practice meditation. Just focus on what you are doing with a willingness to release everything else.
Garden Meditation Day is a wonderful opportunity to help foster the practice of Meditation using things the garden has to offer us. The day was started by GardenLady.com as part of Gifts from the Garden Month
