Who can resist a holiday this easy? You can easily make someone’s day better and brighter today by baking (or buying) cupcakes and giving them out.
The term “cupcake” was first used in 1828. At that time a cupcake could be simply a cake baked in a cup like container. It could also be because the ingredients were measured in cups rather than by weight.
For example, a cupcake recipe at that time may have been 3 cups of flour, 2 cups of sugar, 1 cup of butter and eggs.
