The second month of the year gets its name from the word februum which means purification. It is a time in which we are preparing for spring in the northern hemisphere.
February gifts us with wonderful holidays to celebrate beginning with Groundhog Day! It is also the month we are called upon to be kind, both when we send Valentine cards and for World Kindness Day.
