AI Transparency Policy

At Happy Hive Homeschooling, I believe families deserve honesty, clarity, and trust.

Some of the content, images, resources, and ideas you see on this website may be created with the help of artificial intelligence, also known as AI.

I use AI as a creative and organizational assistant in my business, but I do not use it as a replacement for my own experience, judgment, teaching background, or heart for homeschool families.

AI helps me bring ideas to life more efficiently, but the final decisions, edits, resource choices, and messages come from me.

How I Use AI

I may use AI to help with things like:

  • Brainstorming/researching resource ideas
  • Organizing lesson concepts or activity themes
  • Drafting or refining website copy, emails, blog posts, and product descriptions
  • Creating or improving outlines for homeschool resources
  • Generating or editing images, illustrations, and design inspiration
  • Checking wording for clarity, flow, and tone
  • Repurposing content into different formats, such as blog posts, emails, social media posts, or resource descriptions

AI is part of my creative process, but it is not the whole process.

Every resource, article, email, page, and product is reviewed, edited, adjusted, and approved by me before it is shared with families.

How I Use AI-Created Images

Some images used in Happy Hive Homeschooling resources, blog posts, emails, social media posts, or website pages may be created with AI.

This may include illustrations, clip art-style images, fictional scenes, historical-style images, or visual examples designed to support learning.

When I use AI-created images in educational resources, I do my best to make sure they are helpful, age-appropriate, and clearly connected to the topic. However, AI images are not photographs, primary sources, or exact historical records unless specifically stated.

For history, science, geography, and other educational topics, AI-created images are meant to support curiosity, discussion, and engagement. They should not replace books, documentaries, primary sources, expert materials, or family research.

What AI Does Not Do

  • make decisions for my business.
  • replace my teaching experience.
  • replace my homeschool experience.
  • replace my personal support for homeschool moms.
  • independently create, publish, or sell Happy Hive Homeschooling resources.
  • determine what is best for your child or your homeschool.

The heart of Happy Hive Homeschooling is still human, personal, and experience-based.

My Review Process

Before AI-assisted content is published or shared, I review it for:

  • Accuracy
  • Clarity
  • Usefulness
  • Tone
  • Age-appropriateness
  • Alignment with my homeschool philosophy
  • Connection to the needs of homeschool families

I may revise, rewrite, remove, or completely change AI-generated suggestions before anything reaches you.

My goal is always to provide resources that are encouraging, practical, flexible, and supportive for real homeschool families.

Educational Content and Accuracy

I make a good-faith effort to provide accurate and helpful educational information. However, homeschool resources are meant to support family learning, not serve as the only source of information.

Families are encouraged to ask questions, explore further, check additional sources, and use each resource in the way that best fits their children.

This is especially important when using resources connected to history, science, current events, geography, or cultures around the world.

Student and Family Privacy

I do not intentionally enter private student information, sensitive family details, or personal child-specific information into AI tools for the purpose of creating public resources.

If families contact me for support, I treat those conversations with care. I may use AI to help organize my own general ideas or improve my wording, but I do not use AI to publicly share private family details.

Why I Use AI

I use AI because it helps me create more visual, engaging, and supportive materials for homeschool families.

It allows me to explore creative ideas, build resources more efficiently, and offer more encouragement and support to moms who are trying to make homeschooling work in real life.

But AI is only one part of the process.

My work is still guided by my years as an educator, my experience as a homeschool mom, my belief that there is no one right way to homeschool, and my deep desire to help moms feel capable, supported, and less alone.

My Promise to Families

I will be honest about my use of AI.

I will not knowingly present AI-created images as real photographs.

I will not use AI to replace thoughtful review, personal judgment, or human care.

I will continue to create, edit, and curate resources with homeschool families in mind.

Most of all, I will continue to hold to this belief:

Everything is learning, and every day is a school day.

AI may help with the process, but the purpose remains the same, helping families discover meaningful, flexible, curiosity-filled learning in everyday life.
