Today I have something really special for you. It only takes 5 seconds to do, but it will have a massive impact on your homeschool.

You see, the concept most people don’t apply to their homeschool is the fact you are indeed running a school. It’s not a free-for-all (even if you are unschooling).

This is why my favorite mindset shift can help you.

Attitude Adjustment Coach

I know “mindset” can be one of those 🐝 buzzwords that fall in the trendy, overused category, but it sounds so much more polite than “Attitude Adjustment Coach”.

That’s essentially what I do – help you adjust your attitude about homeschooling so those around you adjust theirs.

Hold on to your hats – because here is my FAVORITE MINDSET SHIFT.

Decide who is Driving the Bus; Teacher vs Mentor

Your homeschool will function dramatically differently depending on the role you chose: Teacher or Mentor.

Both are equally acceptable. In fact, I have been both depending on the needs of my children.

You are driving the bus, 🚌 and will most likely always determine its direction.

Think about the needs of each child you homeschool, do they need you (or someone else) to be a teacher or a mentor?

A teacher is one whose occupation is to instruct. To fully understand the role, I think the definition of instruct is also important.

Instruct: direct or command someone to do something, especially as an official order. To teach someone a subject or skill.

A mentor is an experienced and trusted adviser, a person who gives advice in a particular field.

So take 5 seconds right now and decide: Are you a Teacher or a Mentor (or BOTH!) I’d love you to LET ME KNOW.
