Description

Inside our Animal Locomotion Resource, your kids can explore 10 different animals that Hop, Leap, or Jump.  It’s a great resource to use  in a Leap Year or as part of an animal unit. 

Introduce each animal by completing the “How much do you know?” worksheet. Then confirm the fun facts by reading the informational text page (or use the teaching video!).

After exploring each animal your kids pick one and complete the Animal Report Flip Book. To go along with the flipbook there are suggestions encouraging kids to create a visual representation of the animal they chose. (Painting, Lego build, sew a stuffed animal, create a habitat diorama and more!) 

Why explore Animal Locomotion? Not only is it an important Science topic, this resource helps your children build important skills related to nonfiction comprehension and critical thinking.
