- The English language word “tea” comes from the Chinese word “t’e”.
- Tea was discovered in China around 2737 BC by Emperor Shen Nung.
- There are over 1,500 varieties of tea, including green, black, white and oolong.
- Tea is the national drink of the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Malaysia.
- Tea is naturally low in calories and can help speed up your metabolism.
