ARABIC LANGUAGE DAY

Arabic is one of the six official languages of the United Nations. We celebrate this special day to embrace multilingualism, cultural diversity and to promote equal use of all six official languages. 

The General Assembly approved the Arabic Language as one of the official languages of the United Nations on December 18th. This is how December 18th became the day we celebrate as Arabic Language Day.

More than 400 million people speak Arabic daily. It is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world.
