He didn’t have any “issues” that I knew of. Turns out it was just a normal occurrence of coming across words when you read. You just “pronounce them” and think that’s how they are pronounced – and you keep reading!
Big minds know big words…. but from that point on we decided to introduce a word study program into our homeschool. When the kids came across a word they were unsure of, they put it on the page and completed the study. We made sure they knew everything about the word, including how to pronounce it!
